Everybody knows what Chiranjeevi said before the elections in 2009 about Congress Party and TDP. Now Chiranjeevi says, Praja Rajyam Party is identical in principles to Congress party , so they will work together in upcoming Elections, even though they don’t merge. He will lend his friendly hand to Congress. How hilarious? All for one Rajya Sabha seat? It confirms the once infamous news story that Eenadu.com ran a while ago, that Praja Rajyam party will close its shop and merge with Congress.  Praja Rajyam Party really thinks they are no different from Congress, or at least they hate TDP as much as Congress do. Also it appears, these talks of merger and alliances have been going on each time there is some kind of election. It is clear, he is struggling to find an identify for himself and the party as it has been a total disaster at the poll booth and everything he did after that. No principles. No core beliefs. The reel life ‘Mega’ star Chiranjeevi’s  real life appears to be coming to a tragic end, in Politics. Eenadu (the news paper outlet, unmistakably the opposition party TDP’s torch bearer) reported that 7 PRP MLAs and few other leaders met with party secretary Allu Aravind and proposed to dissolve and combine PRP with ruling congress party. Other news indicate about 12 MLAs ready to take a plunge while rest of the them waiting for Chiranjeevi to accompany. Its not a big surprise to me. While Eenadu has been totally biased in interpreting events to favor TDP, it never reported lies. You may just beat it as featured in Sakshi TV, the congress party’s ’ official ’ media channel, but its a good summary of all Surveys conducted so far and all of them give a clear victory to Congress while TDP alliance comes second. Now the big question of whether surveys are accurate enough, no body can guarantee that. But if all surveys predict the same or almost similar result, and based on past results of how surveys predicted, well, Congress may win again. Good or bad!!

Every political party alleges that everybody is seriously corrupt. And yet, each Politician, irrespective of the party he/she represents, spends as much as he/she can to BUY votes by offering primarily liquor and money. Some political parties are creative and offer sarees, cricket kits of youngsters and kind. No Political party, Absolutely NO political party has any hint of honesty or guts to put out their account books to the public. For the first time in the history of Congress party, the party is fighting this election on the flank of Development and people friendly policies. Telugu Desam party took a u-turn on key policies and trying to position itself as little better than Congress when it comes to populist policies. In many constituencies it will be quite a triangular contest in this elections, for the first time in many years. Hung assembly is most probable outcome. Both PRP and TDP refuse to accept each other as any competition but say Congress is the only enemy. And in folk parlance, if your enemy is my enemy, we are friends. So … If anybody is reading between the lines, there is always a possibility of PRP and TDP alliance to join after polls to form the government. That could be one possible reason, why both parties are quite reluctant to admit that they are fighting against each other. If PRP and TDP gather momentum, no party will be alone have sufficient strength to form the government. Left parties and TRS could be split from alliance, but that won’t suffice as well. So the only option is another marriage of convenience between the Grand alliance and PRP. Quite a prediction?

Praja Rajyam political campaign has copied almost entirely the NTR’s Political beginnings of 1983.  Starting with the way party was announced, venues and literally step by step of the election campaign. They also copied most of the manifesto from Lok Satta’s 50 irrevocable guarantees and applied the ‘Caste’ magic to it in the name of social justice. Now, most recently, PrajaRajyam.org, the official website of Praja Rajyam party tried it best to copy Barack Obama’s website. Starting with the tag line of ‘Change’, it appears they copied the source of the BarackObama.com website and just applied new colors to it. During the much hyped Yuva Gharjana, the Youth meet of Telugu Desam Party held on 5th of Nov,  Congress Party has broadcast an Ad featuring Nagarjuna praising Congress created welfare programs, "100 Days Guaranteed Work for workers and Indira Pension plan". Watch the ad. So Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi going separate ways? Many Chiranjeevi fans were predicting that Nagarjuna will officially promote and back Chiranjeevi's party, given the fact that both are very close and have business relationships. This looks like a shock to many. With flood of Movie Stars joining Politics, does stardom matter? TDP got Nandamuri family actors. Praja Rajyam got Chiranjeevi's family of film actors. Congress breaks away family ties and got Nagarjuna and Mahesh babu, the two actors that are much more popular and loved by lot more people than both (above) families together. And Jayasudha and Raja Sekhar too. That may definitely gives Congress one notch up, the film stars tally....
